OAKLAND, Calif. (October 31st, 2006) – Italian Foods Corporation is expanding operations to serve its growing business with the addition of a new warehouse in Carteret, N.J., the company announced today.
Located near Staten Island Sound, the J. Cioffi Cargo Management warehouse operated by Vincenzo Rossi will cut shipment costs for current customers along the East Coast and will allow Italian Foods to expand its business in the Eastern United States, said Elena Lapiana, general manager for Italian Foods.
Containers of Italian Foods products, which include pastas, sauces, oils, vinegars, vegetables, topping and spreads sourced from small Italian producers, already have shipped, and the warehouse is fully operational.
“The new warehouse not only provides more cost-effective shipping for our customers, it gives us the added storage we need to support additional distribution,” Lapiana said. The company currently has a warehouse in Newark, Calif.
